Care2 is a community awareness network that includes free email. With Care2 you can become involved with groups and become friends with people involved with similar social awareness issues, like the environment, civil rights, animal welfare, human rights and more. Care2 donates 10 percent of its ad revenue to non–profit organizations.

Care2’s email is a simple email service that includes an HTML and plain text composer, unlimited ecards and ten customizable filters. With custom filters, you can organize your inbox and sort incoming email. Additionally, when you register with Care2 they provide you with a short list of domain name choices, you choose the one that resembles your activist nature, like friend@animal.net, friend@peacemail.com and more.

You can be notified of new mail by integrating your Care2 account with ICQ messenger.

We found that although Care2’s heart is in the right place, their email services are only average. You only have 100 MB of inbox storage; do not have HPPTS secure login, you cannot integrate a POP3 account, report spam or curb phishing attempts.
